These are all stunning!! My fave is your B&W because it definitely 'tells a story' and you captured it beautifully. I also really liked the caterpillar (even tho they are creepy) and your night shot of the ferris wheel is awesome. Did you take your tripod to the fair with you????
ReplyDeleteNo, I didn't have my tripod but I wish I did. I could have then tried a slow shutter on the Ferris Wheel. Enjoy my two bubbles, I spent $15 on the stuff to make the super bubbles from a YouTube video. Don was ready to clobber me because he was my bubble maker and it was getting dark & the Mosquitos were biting.
ReplyDeleteWTG Joanne, you got a great bubble shot too...you and Lynn both accomplished what I wanted but couldn't get a good result. Love the way you got then newspaper too...the ferris wheel is awesome....perfectly lit, great job. Thanks again for this assignment,it really gets us out and having to think about our pictures.....
ReplyDeleteJoanne, These are all wonderful shots.
ReplyDeleteI mean like it's not just a newspaper--the composition, the size of the picture, the size of the newspaper, the position of the door and steps, the welcome mat all make it great.
All of your pictures have that quality.
Bubbles--you caught them in good light and dark background. They look like faces.
Wow, I never saw the little faces in the bubbles until you mentioned it! How funny!
DeleteAwesome bubbles! Great comment bout the faces Burr! Next time get a smiley face on them... Noticed the wonderful colors in an otherwise colorless bubble! Focus is spot on. and the newspaper shot told a story which is what a good photo should do - waiting for the door to open..... and what was that caterpillar crawling on?? Is that the correct f-stop? I would have expected much more of the fore and background to have been in focus with this small of an aperture but nevertheless, great shot!
ReplyDeleteThe caterpillar was on the blacktop driveway. That was the only way I could get a seemingly close up while I was laying on the ground with the 50mm. I used whatever lens was on the camera as I didn't want to lose the critter before he crawled into the grass, & I was not going to touch him...ewwww. But I should have taken more time with it that's for sure. (Same for brown jugs, it's out of focus).
