I say WOW on #4!! All of them are great and the B&W is mighty mighty fine as well!! Nice work sister!
ReplyDeleteYou had me at #1. Great pose and eyes.
ReplyDeleteAnother WOW moment for me Joanne...#1 is my favorite because of the sharpnes and the clarity of the picture...I'm beginning to see my biggest mistake was not taking shots inside and using a flash....that really seems to have brought out the expressions and made the pictures you and Lynn took that much sharper..Great job!!!
ReplyDeleteNo flash was used. I was in front of a large window and it was somewhat cloudy. Perfect natural lighting!
DeleteNice work Joanne. They are all great, but I think #2 is a favorite and what a cutie!
ReplyDelete#1 was my pick of the litter.... you previously mention 'catch light' and you really nailed it. 'Spot on focus' I did notice you used the same camera settings for all - by accident, intentional or just wasn't thinking about it?? Never gave it much thought before but with all the variables in photography, eliminating them if you can, can pay dividends as showed. love the B&W.... perfect '50 shades of ......'
ReplyDeleteand Mark, I never thought any of hers were with a flash (or if so, she is extremely talented with one....) natural lighting is so much more subtle and soft without any harsh contrasts, (if you have the light to do it...) I thought long and hard about spending $$ on my Sony when it didn't even come with a pop up flash. Haven't missed it yet! so when you go 'indoors'.... get near a window!! HA!
Intentional, it was working, so stuck with it, it was pretty easy to maintain the same settings being it was a prime lens.
ReplyDeleteAnd I was in the same room the entire time.
